i used to use gamemaker studio in school for like computer science lessons i remember making a pacman style game. i think i still have the files!!

its subscription based now afaik so thatd a big point away from it - i have a license so idm :<

Gamemaker Studio 2.3 - Easy to learn / Undertale was made w it / Ive been using it foe like 6 yrs for all projects so im biased / friendly interface / nice shader engine / its just a good engine idk. u cant make 3d with it tho (unless u goated , people HAVE made 3d but like it lacks support for it.)
